Troy Andrews is a Presentation Designer and Coach based in Shanghai, China and the founder of PresentationPersuasion.com.
The ability to produce effective presentations is both a science and an art. Despite the abundance of public speaking books and experts that focus on body language, Troy noticed there was a gap in the market for strategic presentation content with real substance. He made it his mission to simplify and demystify persuasive presentations.
Troy has developed an easy to use, efficient tool for crafting persuasive presentations using the principles of Neuromarketing, Behavioural Economics, and Persuasion Theory.
We’re thrilled to be welcoming him to Nudgestock for the first time this year, and looking forward to taking some actionable insights from his virtual session.
Ahead of June 12th, we connected with him to find out more…
What are your top tips to survive lockdown?
"Time boxing to schedule your time and staying productive. But it’s super important to integrate not just work, but both hobbies and exercise into your schedule. It’s helped me to stay balanced during quarantine. Also, being an introvert helps immensely."
What is your favourite nudge?
"The Schipol Urinal fly, of course. My parents are both Dutch so I’m biased!
Also, I live in China where this ‘spillage’ is a massive problem. Every urinal has a sign on it that appeals to civility, cleanliness, etc but it just doesn’t work.
A common sign here is ‘One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind’ translated into Mandarin. The fly and all the reiterations that it spawned work perfectly."
And finally, tell us a fact we wouldn’t know about you…
"I’m a surfer at heart and in spirit, but I’ve been landlocked for the past few years in Shanghai so I’m a little rusty... at least for the moment."
